Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled, deveined, tails on
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • nonstick cooking spray

For the Old Bay Ranch Dipping Sauce

  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning

Instructions

  • Rinse your shrimp and pat dry using paper towels.
  • In a small bowl or shallow baking dish combine the flour, salt, and pepper and whisk together.
  • Next, in a second small bowl or shallow baking dish add the eggs and whisk them together.
  • Then, in a third small bowl or shallow baking dish add in the panko breadcrumbs.
  • To properly coat your shrimp. Cover in your flour mixture, then cover in your egg mixture and finally coat in panko crumbs and place onto a plate. Repeat this step until all shrimp are coated.
  • Next, place the shrimp in the fridge for 10 minutes so that the coating holds tightly to the shrimp. This is a key step, so don't skip it!
  • Preheat your Air Fryer to 385 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Spray your air fryer with a generous amount of nonstick cooking spray so that the shrimp do not stick. Then, working in batches, place shrimp in a single layer in your air fryer and coat the tops of them generously with cooking spray as well. Set the cook time for 10 minutes and halfway through (about 5 minutes in) flip the shrimp over and again apply a coating of cooking spray. Repeat this step until all shrimp have been cooked.
  • While the shrimp are cooking, put together your Old Bay Ranch Dipping sauce. In a small bowl combine your ranch dressing and old bay seasoning and mix well.
  • Finally, serve and enjoy!

Notes

You can store this recipe in an airtight container in your fridge for 3-5 days. Because these are freshly crusted shrimp, I would not recommend freezing this recipe.
