Crispy tips and soft, flavorful stalks make Garlic Parmesan Roasted Asparagus a standout side dish. Roasting brings out its natural flavors, and a little seasoning takes it to the next level.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
Cut the asparagus about 2 inches from the woody ends. Place it on a baking sheet and spread it into a flat layer.
Drizzle lightly with olive oil and toss. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Place in the oven and bake for 15–22 minutes, or until tender and until the tips become slightly charred.
Serve immediately. Top with freshly grated parmesan if desired.
Notes
STORE leftovers of Garlic Parmesan Asparagus in an airtight container after they have cooled completely. Keep them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, but avoid leaving them at room temperature for more than 1 hour. Freezing is not recommended, as roasted asparagus tends to become too soft after thawing. To REHEAT, warm gently in the microwave or sauté in a pan over medium heat until just heated through. Be careful not to overheat, as this can make the asparagus mushy.
