Sweet and savory, these Brown Sugar Ham and Cheese Sliders are layered with deli ham, creamy Swiss, and a buttery brown sugar glaze that caramelizes in the oven.
3/4poundsliced deli honey hamor leftover Easter ham
3/4poundSwiss cheese
For the Glaze
1stick butter
2tbspbrown sugar
1tablespoonDijon mustard
1tbsppoppy seeds
1tsponion powder
2tspWorcestershire sauce
1/4tspsalt
pinchof black pepper
Instructions
Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with baking spray. Cut the sliders in half (all together—do not break individually). Place the bottom half of the rolls snugly into the bottom of the dish.
Place half of the cheese over top, then layer with ham, then the remaining cheese.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, add the butter and heat until melted. Stir in brown sugar, Dijon, poppy seeds, onion powder, Worcestershire, salt, and black pepper.
Brush the glaze over the top of the rolls, making sure to coat them evenly. Pour the excess in between and in all of the nooks and crannies.
Cover with aluminum foil, and let sit while the oven preheats. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 degrees Celsius) for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.
Notes
STORE leftover Ham and Swiss Sliders with Brown Sugar in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To FREEZE, wrap individual sliders in foil or plastic wrap, then place them in a freezer-safe bag. They’ll keep well in the freezer for up to 2 months.When you’re ready to eat, thaw overnight in the fridge. REHEAT in the oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit (149 degrees Celsius) for 10–15 minutes, or until warmed through.
