How to Make Brown Butter Sugar Cookies
Step 1: Place the butter in a saucepan over medium heat whisking occasionally. Once melted the butter will begin to foam. Continue whisking occasionally for another 5-8 minutes until butter has lightly browned. Then pour the butter into a heat safe bowl and allow to cool for 15-30 mins in the fridge until slightly cooler than room temperature.

Step 2: While the butter is cooling, in a large bowl add the flour and baking soda and whisk together.

Step 3: Next, in the bowl of a stand mixer using the paddle attachment add in the cooled butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Beat on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until combined.

Step 4: Then add the egg and vanilla in and stir until combined. Scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula if needed.

Step 5: Pour the dry ingredients mixture into the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until a dough forms.

Step 6: Next using a Tablespoon cookie scoop roll the dough into balls then place them on a plate or baking sheet.
Step 7: Chill the dough balls in the fridge for 30 minutes. After chilled roll each cookie dough ball in sugar sprinkles, if desired.

Step 8: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line your baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Step 9: Place the chilled cookie dough balls rolled in sprinkles onto your prepared baking sheet and bake in your oven for 12-13 minutes or until lightly browned on the sides. Then remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool.

Step 10: Finally serve and enjoy!
