Party Dip with a Kick!

Who doesn’t love a good dip?! They are perfect for snacking, parties, really any old day is worthy of some dippable goodness. I love to have a variety of spreads when I host a party so all flavor cravings are satisfied.

This is my favorite go to savory dip because it has a bit of a kick to it! I love chicken wings, so if I can have that in any form then I am on board. This dip is creamy, filled with chicken chunks, and a hint of spicy. The creamy cheeses do help to balance out the spice though.

Whether you are planning a game day gathering, a soiree with friends, or a family BBQ, this dip is sure to be a hit!

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Dip

HEAT. Add the chicken and buffalo sauce to a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat until heated through. (Note: Easily use our instant pot shredded chicken recipe or a simple rotisserie chicken)

COMBINE. Add the cream cheese and ranch dressing to the pot and stir until the cream cheese is melted and well combined. Remove from heat and stir in half of the cheddar cheese.

Oven directions: While making the dip, preheat the oven to 375. Pour the dip into an oven-proof container and top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Bake 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melting and the dip is bubbling.

Crock pot directions: Pour the dip into the crock of a crock pot. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top. Cover and cook on low heat for 1-2 hours, until the cheese is melted and the dip is bubbling.

SERVE. Serve the dip hot with celery and crackers.

RECIPE NOTES:

Kick up the heat: Use a spicier buffalo sauce or add in a dash of hot sauce. Frank’s Hot Sauce is a very popular brand for any buffalo chicken recipe.

Optional Toppings: Top this dip with green onions and/or blue cheese crumbles.

If you Have Leftovers from Your Party…

Keep leftover dip STORED in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. REHEAT in the microwave until warmed through, or in the oven at a low temperature until bubbly.

We like to use the leftover dip for making homemade taquitos. Simply spoon some of the filling onto a small 6inch tortilla and roll it up. Then you can bake it at around 375 for about 15 minutes or until they’re golden brown. You could also use this as a method to freeze the leftover dip!
