This Healthy Green Goddess Dressing recipe is so easy to make! It’s packed full of nutritious ingredients and incredible flavor!
Guys, I’m a salad lover. I could eat a big ole salad for dinner 7 days a week, unfortunately that doesn’t really fly around here. So instead we do salad for dinner about once a week and have side salads every other night. I’m always on the hunt for new toppings, mix-ins and dressings. This Greek yogurt green goddess dressing has to be at the top of my list. It’s homemade, healthy and packed full of incredible flavor!
If you’ve ever been to Cafe Rio this dressing is similar to the one they give you with their salads… only I’m pretty sure my version has about 1 million less calories 😉 That’s mainly because I sub out the creamy stuff for non-fat plain greek yogurt. It’s tangy, full of protein and tastes just as great! I also use honey in place of sugar (although you could use agave too) and olive oil instead of canola or vegetable oil. Then I pack in the greens with a hand full of cilantro, half of a jalapeno pepper, half of an avocado and two green onions. For added flavor I tossed in a clove of garlic, the juice of 1 lime and a little bit of salt.
I blended everything up until it was smooth and creamy and then drizzled it over an all-green salad. This dressing would be perfect over taco salads, southwestern chopped salads or over a bed of greens, peppers, avocado and tomatoes! Make sure to make a full batch or even double it… it’s that goood!!!
You’ll be licking it off your fingers, dipping every vegetable you have in it and wondering why the heck you hadn’t made this sooner! Enjoy & happy healthy eating!

This was fantastic! Skipped the garlic (I was out) and added a bit of hot sauce instead of the jalapeño. Like others said, I could drink it! Looking forward to pouring it over a taco bowl for dinner tonight! ?
Hi. I absolutely love this dressing! It tastes fantastic. My question is, do you happen to have an approximation of calories or nutrient breakdown?
Thank you!
Thanks Colleen! I don’t (mainly because it would be different depending on what specific product you use (yogurt and honey vs. agave)), but feel free to use an online calculator to plug in the ingredients you use. Hope that helps, have a great day!
Hi there! Love this dressing, it’s so good 🙂 I have one question though…what did u blend it in? A regular blender, food processor, or ultra high powered blender like a vita mix, etc? I ask bcus i used my nutri bullet and although it works great I think it blended too well bcus my dressing came out really green and I like the color that your picture shows. Yours is still a little white in color. Thankyou for your time and recipes!
Thanks Zaina! I have a small Cuisinart food processor- it doesnt really blend very well like a nutri bullet or blender would. Hope that helps!!
This salad dressing is amazing. I’m so glad I found it. I could honestly drink it 🙂 I find myself using it as a dip for just about everything!
Thanks Kim! I love mixing it with a little cottage cheese for a chunky veggie/chip dip… it’s so good!
I love this fresh and natural dressing
Thanks Mirta!
