Made By You #1

Hey friends! ???? Today is the start of a new series here on Life Made Simple called Made By You. It’s a round-up featuring recipes from the blog that you’ve made, snapped and tagged on Instagram (or Facebook). I’m so excited about this, aren’t you?!

I’ve been blogging for 6 years now, food-related for the past 3, and I have to say, I’m constantly blown away by how amazing you guys are. It’s not always easy for me to find the time to cook, bake & blog, but I can tell you this, it is so rewarding. This little hobby of mine has turned into a full-time job, which I couldn’t be more grateful for. I’m able to stay home with my two little ones while I help support my family, and I get to connect with YOU! Win-win!!

I appreciate every comment, every email, every like, every pin, every visit to the blog, and every picture of your food that you have sent to me or tagged me in. Whether you’ve been active with questions, feedback and trying one recipe after the other, or you’ve been quietly enjoying the posts, catching my emails, or occasionally trying a recipe here and there, I’m beyond grateful to have you here. ❤️

I wanted to take this opportunity to showcase all of the delicious creations you’ve been whipping up in your kitchen. Turning on my computer and seeing what you’ve been up to makes my day! I’ve always wanted this space to feel like a community, one were we could learn, share and create together. That’s why I’ve decided to do this fun little round-up.

If you’re baking from the blog and would like to be featured, just make sure that whenever you try a Life Made Simple recipe, to snap a photo and send it my way either via e-mail or direct message through Instagram. If you have a public Instagram account, simply hashtag your picture with #lmsbakes or #lifemadesimplebakes. I’ll be keeping an eye out. ????????????

Let’s start with chocolate, shall we? These double chocolate muffins are a must-make. They’re moist, tender and loaded with lots of chocolate. Perfection right there! ????

It’s been a goal of mine for a while now to share healthier recipes on the blog. It’s a work in progress. We tend to eat relatively healthy at home (we like to share our indulgences with others ????) which means we make a lot of our own snacks like these no-bake granola bars. They look as good as they taste! ????

While these coconut oil oatmeal chocolate chip cookies may not be the healthiest cookies out there, they are one of the most delicious cookies I’ve eaten. They’re always on repeat at our house! ???? Thanks for sharing @visavisjulia!!

unnamed-3

And @michellealudy- I LOVE that you turned them into breakfast cookies!

unnamed-19

These perfect chocolate chip cookies tho. ????

unnamed-4

Now moving onto cake. This recipe is a spin off of my lemon pound cake, just made with lots & lots of vanilla. Because summer berries & vanilla bean pound cake were meant for each other. ???? Yours looks so moist and tender @veggiesation!

unnamed-5

It wasn’t until recently that I fell for hummus. Like hard. We usually have a can of chickpeas in the pantry just so we can whip up a batch when the craving strikes. Doesn’t that look delicious? Seasoned to perfection!

unnamed-18

Love takeout but hate all of the mystery ingredients it’s loaded with? Solution: homemade orange chicken. It’s sweet, zesty and tastes amazing. Am i right @define.like?

unnamed-6

Want to serve homemade soft & fluffy dinner rolls but don’t have the time. You totally do! These 1 hour rolls are super easy to make and are ready to go in no time! P.S. These were made by a reader from Singapore… so cool!

unnamed-10

How impressive is that rainbow cake from @cakenluv? And those cupcakes, so cute! Grab the recipe here. ????

unnamed-11

I also love this cute little springy version of my salted caramel tart. Complete with little eggs. ????

unnamed-13

I saved the best for last: brownies! Apparently you love them as much as my husband does, because my two most popular posts are brownies. Look at those shiny, crinkly tops!! ????

unnamed-9

And OMG do these look amazing!!

unnamed-12

If you’re GF you’ve gotta give this version a try. They look perfect @thedailyplate! ????

unnamed-7

If ganache and walnuts are your thing, then you need these Little Debbie copycats in your life.

unnamed-15

Last but not least, my personal favorite. Fudgy brownies topped with mint cream and chocolate ganache. @clorrilyn took these to the next level by adding crushed Andes Mints!! Be still my heart. ????

And there you have it. I’m sure I missed a few, and I apologize for that. For some reason it’s impossible to see ALL of the photos with a certain hashtag. I’m shaking my fist at you Instagram. Please feel free to tag @lmadesimple too, that way I’ll be sure to see it.

P.S. Thanks again for following along, you guys are the best!
