Recipe Ingredients

Almond Flour – This almond meal flour is the base of these cookies giving them a unique texture and allowing them to be gluten free since this recipe does not use all purpose flour.
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder – How you get that rich chocolate flavor into the cookie dough.
Chocolate chips – For inside and on top of each cookie so there is chocolaty goodness in every bite!

How to Make Almond Flour Chocolate Cookies
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Add your butter, brown sugar and white sugar into a large mixing bowl or a the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until fluffy.

Step 3: Next, add the egg and vanilla and mix until combined.

Step 4: In a separate bowl, add the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt and whisk together.

Step 5: Next, add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and combine until a dough forms.

Step 6: Then, fold in ¾ cup of the chocolate chips into the batter.

Step 7: Next, use your hands to roll the dough into balls slightly smaller than a golf ball and place them on your lined baking sheet.
Step 8: Then, add a few of the remaining chocolate chips to each cookie dough ball and slightly push the cookie dough down making it flatter.

Step 9: Bake in the oven for 10 minutes then remove from the oven to cool.

Step 10: Finally, top with flaky sea salt, serve and enjoy!

FAQs
Yes. If you swap out the butter for vegan butter and use an egg substitute like a flax egg you can make these cookies both vegan and dairy-free.
If you are wanting to add in more mix ins to this recipe I would recommend adding chopped almonds, or walnuts, or you could also add in dark chocolate chips.
