It is almost Valentine’s day and since one of my husband’s favorite flavors is red velvet I always try to make something new and delicious for him when I can. These red velvet cake mix cookies are a hit! Definitely one of my new favorite cookies that take minimal ingredients and little time to have thick, chewy, red velvet cookies at your fingertips!

Recipe Ingredients

Red Velvet Cake Mix – The base for these delicious Red Velvet Cake Cookies.

White Chocolate Chips – To add additional sweetness to these chewy cookies.

How to Make Red Velvet Cake Mix Cookies

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Step 2: In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment or a large bowl with a hand mixer add in the red velvet cake mix, oil and eggs and mix until fully combined. Note the dough will be thick at this point.

Step 3: Next fold in the white chocolate chips.

Step 4: Scoop 2 Tablespoon sized cookie dough balls and place them on your prepared cookie sheets and add your additional white chocolate chips and optional heart sprinkles.

Step 5: Bake in the oven for 10 minutes until the cookies are set.

Yes. You can use any brand, just be sure it is a 15.25 oz box for the proper consistency.

What other mix-ins can I add into these red velvet crinkle cookies?

If you are wanting to add additional mix-ins to this red velvet cookie recipe I would recommend semi-sweet chocolate chips, sprinkles, or other candy pieces you prefer.

  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • Pink and White Heart Sprinkles - optional topping

Instructions

    If you like red velvet, then you will like these cookies. So good and a good change up from the same old chocolate chip cookies I usually make.
