Spice Cake

This Spice Cake recipe creates a moist and rich cake topped with a creamy and tangy cream cheese frosting that really captures the coziness of fall.

Fall is one of my favorite times to make cakes with all of the flavors that are incorporated into this time of year. Other fall favorites of mine would be my Spiced Pumpkin Crumb Cake, Apple Cake, and Gingerbread Cake!

The flavors of fall

When I think of fall there are very specific scents that come to mind. Cinnamon, apples, ginger, nutmeg, and so much more! For this recipe it is filled with 5 of my favorite fall flavors! This cake really encompasses all of fall. The only spice or fall flavor it doesn’t have is pumpkin. (Hmm, pumpkin spice cake, I might have to try that.) Outside of pumpkin, this cake is filled with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and applesauce which are all of my fall favorites! So throw this cake together and grab a warm beverage and cuddle up under a blanket with a slice of this spice cake because this is what this season is all about!
