Ingredients

  • 6 Bartlett pears - cored and cut into 1/4" slices
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground cardamom - optional

For the Topping

  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar - packed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp butter*
