Fruit desserts are my absolute favorite. There’s nothing like cooking or baking with fresh, seasonal fruit! These grilled peaches are perfect for this time of year. They only take a few minutes to make and they can be done outside. Win-win! So grab yourself 4 BIG juicy peaches and let’s get grilling!

First, you’ll need to cut the peaches in half and remove the pits. This is much easier with freestone peaches, trust me :) You can probably tell which were clingstone and which were freestone in the picture above. Once the pits have been removed, brush the cut sides with a bit of canola oil. Then pop them onto a hot grill. You can use an outdoor grill OR an indoor grill.

Let the peaches cook for 3 minutes or so, then rotate them 9o degrees and allow them to cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. You want them to get nice and caramelized! When they’re done, pull them off and brush them with the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon mixture. Add a pinch of flaky sea salt on top as a finishing touch. This is optional, but I think it really helps balance out and enhance the sweetness of the fruit.

Serve them warm with a BIG scoop of vanilla ice cream. They’ll disappear in seconds! If you’re looking to go a slightly healthier route, you can always drizzle them with a mixture of honey, cinnamon, vanilla, and sea salt. Yum!!

  4. Remove the peaches from the grill with a pair of tongs. Brush the butter mixture over top and sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Serve with a scoop of ice cream in the center of the fruit.
