Cashews are one of my favorite nuts and, in my opinion, are very underrated. They are salty, have a great crunch and flavor, and are the perfect base for a delicious coating of cinnamon and sugar. All you need is one hour to put this together, and then you will have a delicious sweet and salty treat you can pop into your mouth and enjoy!

Where do Cashews come from?

Cashews are a type of nut known for their distinct shape and sweet, buttery flavor. Scientifically known as Anacardium occidentale, cashews are actually seeds that grow on the cashew apple, a fruit produced by the cashew tree. These trees are native to the coastal areas of northeastern Brazil.

Portuguese explorers spread the cashew tree, a tropical evergreen, around the world during the 16th century. It found a particularly favorable environment in countries like India, Vietnam, and some African nations, where it became a significant crop.
